Having the ability to switch rapidly between servers is essential in modern IT infrastructures, the Rittal range of KVM’s and LCD keyboard drawers meets this need perfectly. Operating “out of band” there is no connectivity issues between your IT system and the KVM switch, no software, no patches, just plug and play. All switches that Rittal provides can be cascaded providing you with peace of mind. When your IT infrastructure expands, the KVM solution can follow. Highly cost efficient 8 and 16 port KVM switches based on the DB-15 interface. Using a specially designed 3-in-one KVM cable with PS/2 or USB fly lead plugs at the server end only – allows a user to cost effectively specify the switch to match the exact server configurations.

IP 16 and 32 port Category 5 switches
Expanding its range of server management solutions Rittal introduces its new high density IP console 16 and 32 port Cat 5 KVM switches. Designed to provide added benefits to its users the new switch range offers increased density, increased distances, enhanced cable management and multi-platform capabilities over traditional KVM switch platforms. Using either a PS/2 or USB dongle at the server end of the installation allows a user to cost effectively specify the switch to match the exact server confi gurations – multi-platform switches allow older or redundant servers to be migrated to servers with newer USB interfaces without replacing switch hardware. Please note each server connected to the Cat 5 cable needs a dongle (Converts RJ45 to PS/2 or USB)
